Mathias Jakob

I'm Mathias, CTO and co-founder of MAIA in Leipzig. With our team, we're building an enterprise AI platform that helps industrial companies across the DACH region put their experience and expert knowledge to work — in the places where generic AI tools tend to fall short.

I've been working in software development for nearly 15 years, in many different roles along the way. What drives me today are the questions that sit between engineering and business: scalable infrastructure, security and compliance, and how AI can actually deliver value in industrial mid-market companies — not just as a demo, but in day-to-day operations.

Alongside that, I advise industrial and energy companies on technical topics and run technical due diligence in M&A processes.

When I'm not working on MAIA, you'll usually find me on a road bike, with a particular love for long distances.
